A Wild Vest Show

Members of the knitting group at the statue today.

A Dundee knitting group has created a giant cardigan to help keep the city’s favourite stubble-chinned cowpoke warm and highly-visible during tomorrow’s Winter Light Night event.
The Desperate Dan statue, by City Square, will sport the distinctive garment — made by the knitting group at the city’s Borders bookshop — as the crowd watch the Christmas lights being switched on and are treated to a fireworks display.

The group meet regularly at the bookshop as part of a range of activities offered by the store.

The waistcoat took around a month to complete.
