Injury concerns intensify
St Johnstone have been hit with more injury problems after Kevin Moon and Peter MacDonald suffered recurring knocks in a closed-door game against Scotland U/21s, which Saints lost 4-3 (writes James Masson).
“Peter had to come off as his hamstring injury was bothering him and Kevin is still having problems with his groin,” said boss Derek McInnes.

Steven Reynolds, who came on for MacDonald, netted two of the Saints goals with a super Martin Hardie strike also counting.

“Martin missed some pre-season games, but got 90 minutes yesterday as he builds up his fitness,” Derek added.
