Saints pair play
St Johnstone duo Kevin Moon and Peter MacDonald continued their comeback from illness and injury respectively by playing in a closed-doors game last night (writes James Masson).
Moon, along with Euan McLean and Steven Anderson, played the whole 90 minutes and MacDonald 80. It looks as if Chris Millar will miss Saturday’s home friendly against Burnley (2 pm) with the calf injury which kept him out of the Stenhousemuir win.

Graeme Smith is suffering a thigh knock and is “touch and go” for the Burnley game according to manager Derek McInnes. However, Steven Milne, hurt against Stenny, will, hopefully, join in training tomorrow.

St Johnstone’s Co-Op Cup tie clash at Arbroath, goes ahead on Wednesday, August 26 (7.45).
