Immigration officials contacted the Foreign Office, who made inquiries and got in touch with Tayside Police. They made inquiries locally.
It is thought the man had travelled to Australia to visit friends or family. He flew from Edinburgh to London on Friday, getting a connecting flight to Los Angeles then on to Melbourne. |
