Helping Eythan stay in the saddle

The Brae Riding Centre received a gift of £500 today thanks to the efforts of big-hearted staff at Ninewells Hospital.
Workers at Sterile Services raised funds for the centre after learning about its work through a relative of one of the staff.

Eythan Galloway (3) has spinal muscular atrophy and visits the centre. His mum Jill said, “He loves riding. It brings a genuine smile to his face and it helps with his balance and has improved his ability to move and twist.”

Eythan rides a Shetland pony called Trixie and some of the money will go towards her upkeep. The remainder of the cash will go towards new equipment for the centre. Centre manager Mary Sneddon said, “We are absolutely delighted. Once again the public are digging deep to support us. It’s great that people are spreading the word about the work being carried out here.”

Staff raised the cash by holding various fundraising events including raffles and a big night out.
