Derek denies Keigan link
St Johnstone manager Derek McInnes said there is “nothing in” stories linking the club with a move for their former striker Keigan Parker, who is presently with Huddersfield (writes James Masson).
Meanwhile, the Perth club are hoping to have another look at the trialist striker who netted the only goal of the game as they defeated Rushden and Diamonds 1-0 at their Warwick training base.

“I was pleased with the way we played. It was a sound performance and nice to get a clean sheet,” said Derek.

Saints have arranged closed-door games for tomorrow and Thursday and they’re hoping Kevin Moon and Andy Jackson will be able to step up their training this week as they recover from injury and illness respectively.

Peter MacDonald is also working his way back to full fitness, although sprinting is out for him at the moment.
