| The Dens men, who fly out a week today, had already arranged to play FC Augsburg, but, prior to that, will meet another as yet unnamed German Second Division side. Those games will take place on Monday, July 20, and Wednesday, July 22, and will allow boss Jocky Scott to give his large squad a run.
“We’ve arranged another game, but we’re still waiting for details of exactly who it is,” said Jocky. “But it gives us a good opportunity to give all the guys a game.”
Defender Eddie Malone, meanwhile, has shaken off a minor knee complaint and has been able to train with the squad this week.
DUNDEE UNITED continued their pre-season build-up, which sees them get their first taste of match action in this weekend’s Oban tournament.
ST JOHNSTONE striker Andy Jackson, who missed the club’s Warwick pre-season trip due to illness, has an appointment with the club doctor today. He’s been keeping fit by doing some running, and Saints hope the trouble, which has afflicted Andy four times over the past 15 months, is now at an end. |
