Cleland joins Saints
St Johnstone have added another new signing — but this time it’s to their coaching staff (writes James Masson).
Former Dundee United and Rangers full-back Alec Cleland, who has most recently been coaching with Inverness CT, has joined up at McDiarmid Park. He’ll look after the reserves and U/19s.

Saints started pre-season training today. Having snapped up Dave Mackay and Murray Davidson from Livingston, and Kenny Deuchar from Hamilton, manager Derek McInnes is keen to add more new faces, but had nothing to report.

As well as working out at McDiarmid, Saints will spend a week training at a complex in Warwick.
