Although West Brom have made no approaches with regard to their vacant managerial post, St Johnstone gaffer Derek McInnes has topped a fans’ poll to become new Baggies boss (writes James Masson).
One of the leading newspapers in the Midlands has voted Derek as the man fans want to replace Tony Mowbray, who became Celtic boss yesterday.
It’s believed the post has attracted a lot of candidates, but, as yet, the Championship club have made no official move to appoint a successor to Mowbray.
