Supermarket boost for tribute to Eve

Eve Anderson.

A musical tribute to a Dundee teenager who tragically died of an asthma attack last year has been given a boost, thanks to the involvement of a city supermarket (writes David Clegg, GrapeVine writer).
Local musician Lloyd Anderson wrote the song Eve’rything in memory of his 14-year-old daughter Eve, who died on March 9, 2008.

It is due to be released this summer to raise funds for a range of charities, including Asthma Dundee.

Now Asda Kirkton has agreed to hold a bag-packing weekend on June 6 and 7, to help raise more funds for the cause and generate publicity for the release.

“It is a wonderful beginning to this quest,” said a delighted Lloyd.

“I invite other sponsors to get involved in a lovely musical tribute, which can help soften the pain and fear brought about by these ailments, and to fund research into cures.”

Craigie High School pupil Eve died while on an overnight training exercise with the Sea Cadets.

Eve’rything can be heard at www.myspace.com/lloydanderson and those who wish to help with the project can email him at lloyd@blueyonder.co.uk.
