Summer break will pay fitness dividends
The close season is giving St Johnstone trio Steven Anderson, Jody Morris and Steven Milne the opportunity to return for pre-season training fully fit (writes James Masson).
Anderson postponed ankle surgery until the season was over, while Morris and Milne will have attention on a wrist problem and knee injury respectively.

It’s possible Milne will, like Anderson, undergo surgery but, in Milne’s case, it’s a tidy-up operation.

Meanwhile, midfield man Paul Sheerin today signed on for another year and the Perth club are now hopeful goalkeeper Alan Main and right-sided defender Gary Irvine will also sign fresh contracts.
