Dundee was the scene of a SHOKK-ing first as Scotland’s only youth gym officially threw open its doors (writes Sean Hamilton).
Players from Dundee FC helped Tay FM’s Stuart Webster cut the ribbon at SHOKK Dundee on Douglas Road — a facility within Energie gym that aims to get city youngsters fighting fit.

Located next to the Odeon cinema, it provides a safe and welcoming environment for young people to exercise.

Gym manager Fraser MacEachran said hopes were high SHOKK could make a difference to the city’s youth.

“We’re aiming to get young people from across the social spectrum between the ages of five and 18 into the habit of regular physical activity,” he said.
