| Feeney grabbed one of his country’s goals in the 3-2 win over Poland on Saturday and cemented their position at the top of their World Cup qualifying group with the only goal against Slovenia last night.
And his club boss knows everyone at United will hear all about it when he gets back.
“Feeney is the loudest man in the world at the best of times, now he is going to be insufferable,” groaned Craig.
“It’s going to be a tough few days because we are going to hear about his goals — a few times.”
Of course, Craig was delighted to see the on-loan Cardiff striker continue his good club form and equally pleased of what he saw of David Goodwillie and Paul Caddis as they starred for the Scotland Under-21s in a 5-2 win over Albania.
“It’s great to see Dundee United players away and doing well. ‘Goodie’ got a goal and has now had two competitive games that he needed, and Caddis looked very good yesterday.
“The only down side for me is whether I can go with three outfield players who will be playing their third game in a week if I start them against Hibs on Saturday.”
With Arsenal’s Lukasz Fabianski recovering from food poisoning that had laid him low at the weekend, keeper Lukasz Zaluska did not get his first Polish cap in the 10-0 thrashing of San Marino. |
