| Irene (79) and Robert (84) Adam were visited by John Letford in his first official act since resigning from the Labour group on the city council.
The couple married in 1949 and have lived in the west end of the city ever since.
They celebrated the anniversary — which was yesterday — over the weekend with a trip to the Yorkshire moors.
They were joined by their son Robert and daughters Doreen and Lyndsey and seven grandchildren.
Mrs Adam said, “It was a wonderful holiday and we have had a lovely time today with the visit of the Lord Provost.” |
