Kind-hearted pupils from Newport Primary School “paws-ed” from their normal academic activities today when they were visited by staff and some residents from Dundee City Council’s Brown Street Kennels.
The youngsters recently raised just over £250 from a coffee morning and are using the money to support a number of causes, with the Dundee kennels given a donation of £62.50 from the pupils.

Representatives from Dundee City Council’s environmental health and trading standards department, with canine accompaniment, paid a visit to Newport Primary to say thanks for the pupils’ generosity.

The fundraising by the youngsters has been part of a “looking after others” project.

Their donation to Brown Street Kennels will go towards comforts and treats for the dogs.
