Fringe benefit
A number of St Johnstone fringe men received a run-out in a closed-door game against Dunfermline in Perth today (writes James Masson).
However, Kevin James wasn’t among them as he is still bothered by a back problem. Jody Morris and Collin Samuel are suffering from knocks received against QOS, but they aren’t bad enough to rule them out of this Saturday’s home match against Morton.

Meanwhile, Saints have extended the loan of striker Steven Doris to Arbroath until the end of the year.
