| He takes his side into battle against Rangers at Tannadice on Saturday on the back of the Ibrox men’s 7-1 annihilation of Hamilton Accies and, while that makes it look a daunting task, Craig does not believe facing them after a defeat would be any easier.
“The honest answer is I don’t know if it is better to get them after they’ve won, like Saturday, or when they’ve lost a game,” he said.
“Right now, I think you could say you are glad you are not Hamilton, because look what happened to them because of Rangers’ reaction to a defeat at Hearts.
“How they’ll be on Saturday I don’t know, but I expect it to be a very tough fixture and the fact they had players like Miller, Davis and Papac back at the weekend definitely strengthened them.
“What is good for us, though, is we are going into this one on the back of two good wins and we want to keep that form going.”
United will have striker Roy O’Donovan back in the squad for Saturday. A virus ruled the Irishman out of contention for a place at Inverness and he is just one of several players who have been under the weather in recent days.
He was, however, in training today and the good news was that, despite a few sniffles, the rest of the squad completed the workout as well.
