Erin does Pudsey proud

A brave girl, who had a tumour removed earlier this year, showed her support for other youngsters when she organised a Children in Need day at her school, near Dundee, today (writes Eve Noon).
Erin Brackenridge was admitted in April to The Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh, where she had a benign tumour removed from her abdomen.

The 11-year-old organised a no uniform day at Strathmartine Primary, with staff and the school’s 34 pupils paying to dress down for the day.

Her mother Lesley said, “People were really nice to Erin when she was in hospital earlier this year and she was keen to do something and raise money for other children who need help.

“She feels she was lucky because the tumour turned out to be benign.

“She always got involved in Children In Need events in previous years, but this year she was determined to do something herself.”
