| The remaining three car mates will hear the winner announced live from Dundee’s Wellgate Centre, where the contestants have been living this week in a Skoda Roomster supplied by Norman Fairweather Motors.
Thursday PM: Eviction time again. A crowd has turned out to support the five survivors and every other person seems to be wearing a T-shirt to support one of the mates.
Radio Tay’s Stuart Webster tells Ryan, Wendy and new girl Charlene they are safe. Charlene is surprised — she thinks as the last contestant in, she was sure to go. There’s shock as George and Alicks are led out of the car to face the public.
George has polled the fewest votes and is the next man out.
He says he found it tough but he entered the competition for reasons other than to win the car.
Wendy is asked what she thinks of George’s departure and is too distraught to speak.
In a twist, Stuart tells the car mates the person leading the votes at the last count. —as it stands Alicks is leading. What effect will this have on Ryan? He has seemed pretty sure of his support these last few days.
It’s time to turn nasty on the Final Four. They are told they are to stay in the back of the car for the rest of the competition and not use the front seats.
As if this isn’t bad enough, they are handcuffed together and have to stay that way all night. They are not happy car mates.
Alicks, Charlene, Ryan and Wendy are given their next task, to guess the words on flash cards as described by Wendy. Wendy rattles through the cards, getting 11 correct in 90 seconds. She has won something very special for the team — raw Brussels sprouts. They each have to eat two raw sprouts to win some extra beers for their beer and curry night.
They have a restless night and there is a lot of fidgeting.
Friday AM: Another failed task this morning! Charlene managed to fail the task that would have won her immunity. It was a Mini “Getting To Know You Task” and she failed miserably. She has to choose another contestant to give immunity to and picks Alicks.
Hypnotist Andrew Lawson works his craft on the survivors and Wendy goes under. Whenever anyone says the words “Punch my fist” she shouts “Vote Alicks!” She is also hypnotised to think that Ryan is obnoxious and cocky — but she thinks this anyway!
Other suggestions put to her are that all the shoppers are naked and that Ryan is now super-hot and looks like her favourite pop star, Donny Osmond. She switches positions to sit beside him.
A text voting system is in operation and the person with the fewest votes has to leave.
To cast your vote text ALICKS, RYAN or WENDY to 61025. Texts cost 25p plus standard network rate. |
