| Twenty-four brave souls will take part in the overnight “Most Haunted”-style investigation of the 16th Century castle in November to raise funds for local deaf-blind and disabled children.
Participants will join a professional investigation team and a medium in a full range of experiments designed to detect ghostly goings-on in the castle.
“This sounds a great and fun event for the people taking part,” Mr FitzPatrick said.
Event organiser Andy Hughes said, “Mains Castle is the perfect location for our first-ever charity ghost hunt. It’s a magnificent building with a rich and varied history that dates back hundreds of years.
“We’ve had such a successful entry for this event that we are planning another and are thinking about a whole series of such hunts across Scotland’s historical sites.”
