SAINTS HOPE TO MAKE SIGNING
St Johnstone are hopeful of adding to their squad today. A midfield player, who was on trial recently with Saints, has returned to McDiarmid Park and the Perth club are hoping to sign him (writes James Masson).
Meanwhile, central defender Kevin James is out for several weeks due to a knee injury. However, midfielder Martin Hardie has recovered from a virus and was training today.

Andy Jackson made his Republic of Ireland U/21 debut away to Austria in Vienna last night. They match ended 1-1 with the home side equalising with the last kick.
