The 38-year-old man was assaulted and robbed as he made a delivery in Ormiston Crescent, Whitfield, at around 2pm yesterday.

He was pulled from his lorry by two men who stole his black Head rucksack containing paperwork, his digital tachograph card, Samsung and Nokia mobile phones, his driving licence, and a Nav Man satnav terminal.

The attackers then ran off down the path between Cassidy Walk and Broddick Walk.

One is described as around 5ft 8, between 20 and 22, slim, with very short dark hair. He was wearing a black tracksuit.

The other is also thought to be between 20 and 22, slim, and around 5ft 11. He was wearing blue jeans and a blue hooded top.

Police say the driver, was uninjured, but extremely shaken.
