First chance for Saints fans
St Johnstone fans get their first chance to see Euan McLean, Chris Millar, Gavin Swankie and Derek Holmes at McDiarmid Park tonight when they make their home debuts against Owen Coyle’s Burnley (7.30) (writes James Masson).
But recent signing Collin Samuel joins Alan Main, Kevin Moon, Jody Morris, Steven Anderson and Kevin James on the injured list, with most unlikely to make Saturday’s Challenge Cup visit to Ross County.

Boss Derek McInnes hopes they’ll be fit to face Livingston at home in the league opener.

“Burnley will be a good test for us,” said Derek. “We’re looking for a good result to set us up nicely for the Ross County match.

“We want to retain the Challenge Cup, so we’re going to County with winning in mind, same as tonight.”
