Rae plays down Snodgrass move
Manager Alex Rae today said Robert Snodgrass probably won’t be a Dundee player this coming season (writes John Brown).
Asked whether the Livingston attacker was still in his sights as a transfer target, Alex replied, “I don’t really like commenting on transfer speculation before anything happens, but I’ve heard on the grapevine that Snodgrass is talking to Leeds United today.

“So that maybe answers your question.”

Alex, when asked if he was interested in bringing former Aberdeen striker Steve Lovell back to Dens, said, “No comment”, and continued, “I’m hoping to have a few trialists in for tonight against Bradford City at Dens (KO 7.30).”

Alex did confirm one of those trialists would be former Rangers signing Makhtar N’Diaye.

“I though Makhtar did very well for us in our previous game and I’d like to see him again against good-quality opposition.

“We’ll take it from there.”

Towering striker Mikael Antoine-Curier, who picked up an injury on Sunday against Wolves, will be assessed “around 5 o’clock”, but wouldn’t be risked if he was not 100 per cent.
