| United face Barca at what is set to be a packed Tannadice on Saturday, but, before that, there is other vital pre-season business to be taken care of.
Tomorrow night, what will basically be the first team squad will be heading for Dunfermline, and 24 hours later, a mix of top team men and kids will make the short hop up the coast to face Arbroath.
“A bit like the weekend, it is going to be a busy couple of days with two games to prepare for and we’ll take care of them before we start thinking about the weekend,” said Craig.
At East End Park tomorrow, Scott Robertson will return to action after recovering from the blisters that were a hangover from last week’s stay in Ireland.
There is also a chance Garry Kenneth could be involved in one or other of the games. He hurt an ankle against UCD last week and was expected to struggle to be ready even for Barca, but he’s been making good progress.
Lee Wilkie and Andis Shala are suffering from slight strains that may rule them out for the next couple of days, however they are both expected to be ready by the weekend.
Barcelona, meanwhile, touched down this afternoon and headed for their St Andrews base with most of their big names with them.
There was, of course, no Ronaldinho after his switch to AC Milan last week, but new signings Alexander Hleb and Daniel Alves were in the travelling party along with the likes of Thierry Henry and Argentine superstar Lionel Messi — he missed last year's visit because of Copa America commitments. |
