Pupils entertain Wighton friends

Pupils of Baldragon Academy entertained the Friends of Wighton with music and song in the Wighton Heritage Centre at Dundee’s Central Library today.
Principal teacher of music Fiona Anderson took pupils Billy Muir, Stephanie Mason, Taylor Grogan, Abbie Cleary, Craig Cummings and Fiona Reid to display their talents at the Friends’ monthly lunchtime concert.

Friends of Wighton Honorary Librarian Sheena Wellington said, “We are keen to make links with the schools and are delighted to welcome the Baldragon team.

"Excellent music is being made in schools in Dundee and we want pupils and teachers to see the Wighton Collection as a great resource for them.”

The Friends of Wighton Group promotes and improves access to the collection of early printed Scottish music donated to the city by 19th century Dundee merchant Andrew J Wighton.
