And Craig dismissed all talk about his side facing a Rangers team suffering from serious signs of fatigue.
He said, “Last night, I thought Rangers got stronger and stronger as the game went on, which is quite remarkable when you consider the amount of games they’ve had to play recently.
“However, it was incredibly tense at times. Even after they had gone in front, the last 15 minutes were pretty nervy.
“We can possibly use that to our advantage on Saturday and what we need to do is make sure we don’t concede a goal early on.
“We have to keep the crowd quiet and give ourselves a chance.”
United reserves, meanwhile, have their own hectic schedule to contend with and, this afternoon, 48 hours after meeting St Mirren, they faced a Celtic second string at Airdrie’s Excelsior Stadium.
Garry Kenneth’s knee injury, picked up against the Buddies on Tuesday, is nothing serious, although it’s unlikely the towering centre-back will start at the weekend.
