Marketing of luxury flats soon
Marketing of a block of seven luxury flats planned for a prominent Broughty Ferry site is due to begin soon — nearly three years after permission was first granted for the development.
Taylor Shepherd Homes, the Forfar-based company behind the project, has told the Tele it will release promotional material next month about the homes to be built on the £400,000-plus plot.

When the Loftus filling station, on the corner of Queen Street and Gray Street, closed the land was bought by Justice Homes, owned by former Dundee FC chief Executive Peter Marr.

The company had already built a number of six-figure flats in the Ferry, including the Harbour View apartments on Beach Crescent — one of which sold for around £750,000 in 2006.

But work on the Queen Street site has been slow since planning permission was granted in August 2005.

Taylor Shepherd Homes bought the site for £412,000 in late 2006. The foundations of the flats have since been started.

Contacted by the Tele, Stuart Taylor, one of the firm’s directors, said marketing materials would be made available next month, but declined to answer further questions.
