Showhouse bought ‘as seen’ for £1m

A showhome on a housing development near Dundee has become the first new-build to break the £1 million barrier in the city’s market area.
The five-bedroom, 5000 square feet house at Kingennie Fields has been bought ‘as seen’, including all fixtures, fittings, furniture and accessories, many of which have been sourced from Italy and Paris.

Occupying a substantial plot overlooking the Kingennie Country Resort it has been decorated and dressed by interior design company Envision.

The showhouse has views over the Kingennie golf course, putting green and fishing lake. It has five bedrooms three en-suite, drawing room, dining room, family kitchen and family bathroom, laundry room, boot room and integral triple garage.

A striking feature is the use of contemporary Venetian panels between the galleried reception hall and the formal dining room.

One bedroom above the garage has an adjoining lounge, fully-fitted kitchen, shower room and balcony creating self-contained guest accommodation.

The showhouse is one of 12 executive homes being developed at the small development at Kingennie Fields, and its sale means only one property in the initial development is still available, while a house in phase two has already been snapped up.

Properties in phase two will range from £745,000 to £975,000

Kingennie Fields is eight miles from Dundee city centre and three miles from Broughty Ferry and the A92 dual carriageway between Dundee and Arbroath.
