Turning pages for book day

Pupils across Dundee were turning the pages for World book day today with literary events held around the city.
Our Lady’s Primary School staged a parade with children dressed up as their favourite characters. P4/5 pupils set up a book sale while P2/3 took part in storytelling sessions.

Other events organised by Our Lady’s pupils included a visit to Waterstone’s book store where local author Allyson Marnoch discussed her children’s book H’s Second Chance.

Earlier this week, children at Craigiebarns Primary enjoyed a puppet story session with Sylvia Roon. Education director Anne Wilson, read from the novel Heidi to pupils at Hillside Primary, while P3 pupils at Ancrum Road Primary also enjoyed a storytelling session.

Pupils at Lochee Primary donated a small sum to dress up as their favourite book character. Money raised will go towards books for their school library.
