David can make impact at Saints
Although he hasn’t featured much from the start, David Weatherston is pleasing St Johnstone team boss Derek McInnes (writes James Masson).
The young winger made the step up from part-time football when he switched from Queen’s Park in the summer, and Derek said, “He likes to take people on and he is a player who can have a real impact here.”

Saints have arranged a closed-door game for Tuesday. It’s possible Martin Hardie, sidelined for several months due to injury, will play.

The Perth club hope to have Liam Craig, on loan from Falkirk, signed to the end of the season before Saturday’s home Scottish Cup tie against Raith. Meanwhile, Hearts have granted Raith permission to play on loan forward David Templeton against Saints.
