The Jack Russell, called Snuff, was last seen on Saturday, September 20, with his son and partner-in-crime, Sos.

The pair managed to chew their way through a fence in Angela’s garden and escape into nearby woods.

Although Sos returned a few hours later, Snuff has not been seen since.

Now Angela, owner of the Technotots Nursery on Brunel Road, in Dundee, says an extensive search of the area around her home at Oathlaw, by Forfar, has proved fruitless.

She said, “They are like Scooby Doo and Scrappy Doo, always finding ways of getting into mischief.

“But they are absolutely wonderful dogs, very funny and loveable. They would never bite or be aggressive. They mean everything to me.”

This is not the first time the intrepid pair have disappeared and Angela says they often take off on adventures.

On one memorable occasion they even ended up spending a night in custody.

She said, “Snuff has disappeared before but never for this length of time — except when he spent the night in jail in Forfar. A few months ago now they had managed to get out and we had searched and searched.

“After 24 hours we contacted the police and they told us they had them.

“I think it was because it was a Saturday night the police couldn’t take them to the kennels.

“A farmer had complained about them so they had picked them up and just kept them in the cells overnight.”

But this time, Snuff is still missing despite a big publicity drive.

Angela and her business partner Stephen Donald, who shares ownership of the dog, have taken out newspaper adverts, made a radio appeal, put up posters and distributed 5000 leaflets bearing Snuff’s image.

They then contacted the Tele to offer the cash reward.

“We have been doing everything we can think of to find him,” said Angela.

“I just want my dog back. If there has to be a bounty to find him, I don’t care.

“I love him to bits and I just want him back. And Sos is missing him terribly as well.”
