Saints hope Rocco recovers
St Johnstone hope Rocco Quinn will have recovered from injury in time to take his place in the team for tomorrow’s away First Division match against Morton (writes James Masson).
Definitely out injured are Kevin James, Steven Milne, Peter MacDonald and Martin Hardie.

After winning against Partick Thistle at home last Saturday, Saints are keen to make it two in a row with keeper Alan Main also keen to keep the club’s good defensive record going.

“We’ve lost only one goal in our last four 90 minutes of football and the defence looks a lot more confident,” he said.

“But Morton tomorrow is a tough game. There will be a big home support and they’re a decent side but a win and another clean sheet will do us nicely.”

Saints’ manager Owen Coyle backed up Alan’s claim about Morton’s support and their team, and he believes tomorrow’s match will be played in a great atmosphere.

Since arriving at the club just before the transfer deadline, Kenny Deuchar has netted twice and will again lead Saints’ forwards tomorrow.

“Kenny has made a great impact,” said Owen. “He’s not only scored goals but has led the line well.”
