Crowds flock to open day

Stock market: Constable farmer tests an old-fashioned method of punishment.

PC Alan Farmer found himself in the stocks when over 1000 people called in at Levenmouth Police Office open day to see how agencies work together to make their community a safer place in which to stay.
The event, organised by Levenmouth Community Safety Panel, brought together police officers, representatives from other emergency services, churches and voluntary groups to give advice and demonstrations on issues ranging from drug and alcohol abuse and trading standards to safeguarding homes and personal safety.

Youngsters enjoyed face-painting and street football, while older visitors watched Fife Fire and Rescue Service demonstrations, police dog handling displays and a static display by the Coastguard service.
