| Councillor Black said, “I want to tell him that the Hilltown needs his intervention. It needs more police and community safety wardens.
“There’s been a spate of particularly violent crime recently. There have been deaths, alleged fire raising and, most recently, a slashing at a local cash machine.
“We want people to be confident in the area. We as a council are trying to regenerate the Hilltown and make it the bustling lively place it should be, but we won’t succeed if people are afraid to walk the streets.” |
