| The raiders targeted the Speedwell Bar — known as Mennie’s — on the Perth Road in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Regulars at the bar told the Tele today that the robbers not only stole the contents of the till, but also took a charity box.
Detectives are understood to be reviewing CCTV footage from the area in a bid to identify the culprits.
Tayside Police said the raid occurred between 1am and 4am and appealed to anyone with inform-ation to contact them on 01382 223200 or speak to any officer.
