Duffy in frame
Swansea City are still on the trail of St Johnstone’s Trinidad and Tobago international forward Jason Scotland, but they also have a Scot in their sights (writes James Masson).
Former Rangers, Brechin and Falkirk front man Darryl Duffy has been on loan with the Welsh club from Hull City and has scored five goals in five appearances for the Swans.

That has impressed Swansea team boss Roberto Martinez, but Hibs and Hartlepool are also believed to be keen on Duffy.

Scotland can leave Saints for nothing once his contract expires on August 26. Saints are only likely to let him go before that if they receive a fee for him.

Meanwhile, defender Kevin Rutkiewicz, out for nearly a year with an ankle injury, which required extensive surgery, is hoping to be ready for Saints’ pre-season training.
