A Perth cyclist was taken to Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, today after being involved in an accident with an articulated lorry.
The 47-year-old woman has a serious leg injury as a result of the accident, which happened on the busy Glasgow Road at around 8.50am.

She had just negotiated the mini roundabout at Cherrybank when, near the junction with Oakbank Place, the collision with the lorry occurred.

The lorry driver was taken to Perth Royal Infirmary for a check-up and treated for shock.

The road has been closed in order to allow accident investigators to examine the scene of the incident.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to get in touch with Tayside Police in Perth by calling 01738 621141.
