CORONATION STREET

Everyone’s blaming Becky for the blaze at Roy’s Rolls, but she pleads with

Hayley that she didn’t start it.

Others are quick to judge her too and Carla sacks her from the factory. But when the fire officer tells Hayley an electrical fault with the fat fryer was to blame, Hayley chases Becky to the bus stop where she sees her heading out of town. Is it too late to say sorry?

Chesney is being spoilt rotten by Cilla and Les, but Fiz is missing him being around. Cilla twists the knife by telling Fiz if she wants a kid, she’ll have to have one of her own and to stay away from Chesney.

Tracy’s solicitor tells David she doesn’t believe his story. But when he tells her Charlie tried to kill him by drowning him in a bath, she thinks he’ll make a fantastic witness. Later, Tracy tries to persuade David to testify, but he is adamant he will not — unless she makes it worth his while. Tracy is initially disgusted and tells him she would rather go to jail than go near him, but David is resolute.

Later, David can’t believe his luck when she offers him wine, a kiss and a lot more if he will testify. David leaves with a massive smile on his face, but Tracy hates herself for what she has resorted to.

It’s a big night out for the boys as Steve, Lloyd, Jamie and Sean hit the town. But on his way to the loo, Sean bumps into Sonny who tries to persuade him to go with him elsewhere. The two men start to get closer and when Steve tries to find Sean for them to leave, he discovers them together. What will Steve do with this explosive information? Will he tell his secret love Michelle?

Tyrone is fixing a car and finds an old metal detector in the boot. The customer gives it to a thrilled Tyrone, who is convinced it will help make him his fortune.

EASTENDERS

Shirley tells Denise she’s heard Kevin is alive. She then asks if Denise is moving out of Pat’s house, but Denise doesn’t rise to the bait. Denise tells her girls she wants them to leave Walford.

Denise talks to Pat about leaving Walford. Pat is disappointed, as are Libby and Chelsea, but Denise is floored when Yolande explains Chelsea has asked if she can move into the Trueman’s. Later, as Yolande heads home, she notices torchlight through the Fowlers’ window…

Tanya tries to phone Max, but he doesn’t answer. When he arrives at the salon, Max reminds Tanya of their counselling appointment. Later, Sean attempts to wind up Max. As Stacey waits to hear from Max, Sean arrives home and she sneaks out the back door.

Chelsea gives Preeti a makeover, although Preeti isn’t happy. But Chelsea reassures her and tells her this is how she’ll win Mickey over.

Elsewhere, Deano and Carly are in the Vic and spot Shirley dancing behind the bar. But Carly is too embarrassed to stay, and leaves.

Phil is impressed by Stella as she makes an effort for her day with Ben. Ian, meanwhile, asks Phil how Ben feels about spending the day with someone he doesn’t like. Phil tells Ben in no uncertain terms he is spending the day with Stella and that he must behave.

HOLLYOAKS

Kris is reeling after being ‘diagnosed’ HIV positive. And as Kris and Jessica struggle to come to terms with the possibility they might have HIV, Will is delighted with his evil little charade.

Jessica and Kris face more tests and Will is still pretending to be his mate, accompanying him to the clinic. When Kris gets his results, he’s in for a big surprise, but Will isn’t happy with the outcome.

Louise wants Justin out of the house but Sonny wants to stand by his mate, leaving Calvin caught in the middle. Jake thinks Justin is responsible for Fran stabbing Becca and Nancy is worried about what he might do. Jack tells Justin to stay out of everyone’s way, even offering him the day’s takings as a pay-off. But Justin does something unexpected with the money. Jake finally confronts Justin, with potentially disastrous consequences.

Jacqui isn’t having much luck finding a job. Tony tries to console her, but she’s insulted when he offers her a job as a pot washer. Later, Tony and Mandy share a poignant reunion, and she drops another bombshell.

Michaela makes a play for Sonny and she can be very persuasive. And Sarah tells a horrified Amy their mum wants to treat them to a holiday. But how can she hide her pregnancy in a bikini?

RIVER CITY

After all she has been through lately, Ruth’s bright and chirpy attitude puzzles her mum Gina.

However, later that day when Iona tries to apologise to Ruth, she drops her front, loses her temper and assaults the other woman.

Kelly Marie is suspicious something happened between Michael and Scarlett, but when she quizzes the ex-priest, he gives nothing away.

It’s an emotional time for the Henderson family, as they are called to say their last goodbyes to George. While the family struggle to hold it together, things take an even darker turn for Alice when she overhears Robert make a promise to George.

Elsewhere, Paul goes away to his new school in Aberdeen, leaving the Hunter family feeling lost. When Billy comes across Tina sobbing, he invites her into the salon for a chat and the two realise they have a lot in common.

And Archie tries to win Niamh round, but fails.

EMMERDALE

On the day of Tom’s funeral, Rosemary is left to grieve alone as the boys exclude her.

As Barraclough and Dasari observe the mourners’ reactions with interest, all attention is soon switched to a mystery mourner — revealed to be Carrie Nicholls, the nurse who looked after a dying Mary King (Tom’s late wife). Meanwhile, Tom’s many enemies including Terry, Jack, Jamie and Bob gather in the Woolpack to drink a morbid toast to his death.

Matthew, Jimmy, Carl and Rosemary gather for Tom’s will reading and are shocked when Carrie joins them. Everyone is stunned when a Scarlett Nicholls is named as a beneficiary. They are further shocked when she is revealed to be Carrie’s daughter by Tom. How will the brothers cope with the addition of a half-sister?

Belle scored 98% on her entrance exam and is offered a place at the private school. But the family’s happiness is crushed when they are informed she was unable to secure a full scholarship. With tuition fees costing £2000 alone, is this the end of the road for the Dingle dream?

Bob cancels his job interview with Naughty Nylons and Viv is secretly delighted. But the Hopes get a big surprise when Bob’s brother Eddie shows up revealing he is the sales manager for Naughty Nylons and Bob accepts a job with him. But Viv’s incensed to discover Bob will be leaving with Eddie for a two-week training course.

Terry mocks Rodney after finding the destroyed businessman cleaning windows. But Rodney is full of optimism for his new venture and ignores all taunts. Is he finally working his way back up the ladder of success?

Meanwhile, as Paul and Diane continue to ignore Val over her treatment of Sharon, she spends a lonely birthday as she stews in her own misery. Pollard appeals to them for leniency, but has Val gone too far this time?
