Baby-faced Saint
Aged just 15 years and nine months, Darren Wilcox may well have set a record for being the youngest St Johnstone player to appear in a first-team game (writes James Masson).
The Perth youngster replaced Steven Kerr near the end of last night’s 3-1 Forfarshire Cup win against Brechin City at McDiarmid Park.

Saints have fielded several players aged just 16 in other games, with Chris Conway being their youngest player to appear in a top-team SPL match, away to Kilmarnock.

But it’s thought Darren, whose older brother Colin plays for Kinnoull juniors, is the youngest player to turn out for Saints’ first team.
