| The Dark Blues were brought back to earth with an almighty bump last week when Clyde thumped them at Dens.
However, prior to that 4-1 defeat, Dundee had been playing some of their best stuff of the season and were on an impressive run.
And, Alex wants his side to learn from the mistakes they made against the Bully Wee and get right back on track against Billy Reid’s men.
That won’t be easy against an Accies outfit that has made life difficult for the Dens men recently, especially on the synthetic pitch at New Douglas Park.
But, after viewing a DVD of the horror show against Clyde yesterday, Alex is confident his men have what it takes to bounce straight back.
“The guys watched the DVD of the Clyde game and I’ve got to say they were very receptive to everything we were trying to point out to them,” said the Dens gaffer.
“We hadn’t been conceding many goals before Saturday — I think it was two in the previous five league games.
“So we just need to brush up on where were went wrong and show a bit more concentration.
“Hamilton will be tough, but, although it’s a plastic surface, I’d like to think that would suit our passing game down to the ground.”
Long-term injury victim Bryan Deasley apart, Gary Smith remains the only doubt for the trip west.
The central defender has been suffering from a bout of flu. However, Alex is hoping Smith will be able to train tomorrow and, if he does, there is every chance he’ll be in his usual place at the weekend. |
