Who’s a pretty Rottweiler, then?

Molly and Gill.

A Rottweiler called Molly from Dundee has been named Scotland’s top dog. The 10-month-old pup took the title of “Pick of the Pooch” after winning a competition organised by pet store Pets at Home.
Molly beat nearly 1000 dogs to claim the Scottish title and has now been entered in the national final of the competition, later this month.

Owner Gill Thomson said she was delighted by Molly’s success.

“I didn’t know anything about the competition at first,” she said. “I went to the store to look at stuff for Molly and the staff took her photo and said one of those would be entered into the competition.

“She was only four months old when they took the photo.”

For winning the regional round, Gill received £100 in gift vouchers. Should Molly win the national final she will win another £100 worth of vouchers plus a year’s supply of dog food.

Pets at Home events manager Linda Whiting said, “Molly is a gorgeous little dog and worthy of the place in the grand final.”
