A group of swashbuckling pirates and elegant princesses have raised £100 for Tayside charity Caring for Kids.
Earlier this month, children from Jessie Porter Nursery School in Dundee’s Ambleside Terrace participated in a fancy dress day and pirate and princess themed games. They were also asked to bring a donation to benefit the cause.

Alison Carr visited the nursery today to receive the cheque for Caring For Kids.

Meanwhile, the Scottish Association of Meat Wholesalers presented the charity with a cheque for £1500 today.

President of the association, Allan Jess, handed over the donation to Alison Carr at Radio Tay’s premises in North Isla Street.

The money was raised through a charity auction that took place at the association’s annual conference and dinner held in Edinburgh earlier this year.
