Business is boom(erang)ing
The popularity of computer classes in Dundee’s Stobswell was made evident this week, with The Boomerang Learning Centre achieving a milestone of 100 people having received a certificate from the British Computer Society.
Situated in the heart of the Stobswell community on Albert Street, it’s a learndirect approved training centre, and offers courses from the very basic up to the European Computer Driving Licence.

“The centre’s been open for two years and it became a learndirect centre in February,” said manager Neil Ellis.

“A milestone was achieved this week when Susan Ferguson became the 100th person to receive a certificate from the British Computer Society to acknowledge her achievement in computer literacy.”

The learning facilities have proved so popular that digital photography lessons will also be made available from next week.

Computer classes are offered to anyone aged 18 and over. Opening times are Monday to Friday 9 to 3.30, and Wednesday and Thursday evenings between 6.30 and 8.
