Centre shows off new premises

Dundee International Women’s Centre showed off its new premises in Dundonald Street by hosting an open day.
The event included taster sessions for different activities and classes, community information stalls, multi-cultural food and music. There were also games and activities for children.

Rowena Arshad, senior lecturer and director for the Centre for Education for Racial Equality in Scotland, gave an opening speech.

She has recently been invited to chair the new Scottish Equalities Unit for the further and higher education sectors. Rowena has been commissioner with responsibility for Scotland for the Equal Opportunities Commission since 1991.
