ALL NEW AT DENS
Dundee will launch a new look, introduce their new sponsors and, most significantly, reveal manager Alex Rae’s first major signing at Dens tomorrow (writes Tom Duthie).
A Press conference has been scheduled for lunchtime at which next season’s kit, complete with the name of new sponsors Signatures4U emblazoned across the shirt, will be on show. The big question, though, is who will be wearing the new gear.

The new team boss has been in signing talks with Danny Griffin, Andy McLaren and Derek Young over the past couple of weeks and, while no confirmation of which of that experienced trio will be the first to sign up has been forthcoming, chances are the man being paraded this time will be Griffin.

The ex-St Johnstone and Dundee United man, who finished last season at Aberdeen, was close to agreeing a deal by the end of last week and is likely to have put pen to paper by the morning.

As well as still being hopeful of fixing up McLaren and Young, Alex is also in the market for an experienced goalkeeper.

CRAIG PLEASED
At Dundee United, meanwhile, Craig Brewster was pleased to finally conclude the signing of Dunfermline’s Noel Hunt, subject to a medical, over the weekend and is now working towards strengthening other areas of his squad, though that could take time (writes Tom Duthie).
“There is nothing imminent and I am continuing to look. I’m delighted we’ve fixed up Hunt, though, and both clubs are happy with the deal,” said Craig.

“He is someone I know well and, from watching him regularly, I have seen a big improvement over the last six months and I see no reason why that progress can’t continue at Tannadice.”

It will be the end of this week at the earliest before Hunt is paraded.

Grant Brebner is having a look round at Melbourne Victory.
