| The new package, unveiled by chairman Bob Brannan at the Dee 4 Life rally at Dens, will see adult prices reduced to £250 and OAPs pay £120. U/18 packages can be purchased for £95 and students will gain access for £99. However, it’s the new “pocket-money” deal for 12 and under, priced at £18, that is likely to boost the number of youngsters attending home games.
Meanwhile, the D4L initiative to raise enough money to buy a substantial stake in the club was given a huge boost by Brooks Mileson. The Gretna owner, who attended Saturday’s bash along with around 400 trust members, has pledged £30,000 towards the fighting fund, which hopes to raise around £150,000 to purchase 26 per cent of the available shareholding. D4L have already pledged £50,000, while supporters’ association DSA have put in £10,000 with an additional £500 coming from junior supporters.
Now generous Mileson has said he will put in £30,000 if Dens fans can find the remaining £60,000 towards reaching their first target.
The Dark Blues have fixed up an attractive pre-season friendly at Dens, with Rangers providing opposition on Tuesday, August 1.
