| Not only is he leading his daughter Victoria-Jane down the aisle for her marriage to Les Green at St Serf’s Church of Scotland in Almondbank but, once he’s done that, he’ll then await his own bride, Jackie Kundl, being led down the aisle by his son Adrian.
Alistair is a well-known performer in musical circles, having appeared in many amateur operatic productions as well as being a brass band musician.
The double wedding is believed to be the first ever in Almondbank, and it really is a family affair.
Another of Alistair’s sons, Christopher, is an usher at his dad’s wedding.
Victoria-Jane’s matron of honour is Jackie’s daughter Michelle, with her other daughter Claire being one of Victoria-Jane’s bridesmaids.
Various other members of the Kelly, Kundl and Green families are involved in the ceremony and there will be no shotage of fine voices at the ceremony and reception as many members of the Perthshire musical fraternity are attending.
Ron Cochrane, musical director of many shows, is playing the organ and Spectrum are providing musical pieces.
Victoria-Jane is props mistress for Perth Amateur Operatic Society and secretary of Perth City Operatic Group.
Her husband-to-be Les has been involved behind the scenes with both groups for a couple of years.
“After Victoria-Jane and Les announced they were getting married, Victoria-Jane suggested Jackie and I get married too in a double wedding,” said Alistair.
“We agreed and now all four of us are completing preparations for our big day — and it’ll certainly be one to remember, no doubt about that,” |
