Police seize £300,000 of drugs
Tayside Police found drugs with an estimated street value of around £300,000 following a search of a car on the outskirts of Perth last night.
Officers stopped the car at around 9 pm and found 30 kilos of amphetamine (speed) and one kilo of cannabis.

Detective Inspector Campbell McGregor, head of the drugs branch at Tayside Police, said today, “This is the largest ever single recovery of amphetamine in the Tayside area.”

He continued, “We are delighted to have been able to take this amount of amphetamine off the streets.”

A 44-year-old man from Dundee has been charged and reported to the procurator fiscal.

He will appear before a sheriff at Perth.
