| Last month Gala ran a national Treasure Trail competition in which customers buying their bingo tickets at reception were handed free scratchcards, with prizes including free bingo, holiday vouchers, cameras, watches and up to £10,000 in cash.
The top prize, however, was a new Ford Focus car and, as luck would have it, James revealed the three car symbols on his card to earn himself a replacement for his Mondeo.
Arbroath club manager Marie Watkins said, “James came in as usual and bought his bingo books from me and I handed him his scratchcards.
“Within minutes he came bursting back through the doors to say he thought he had won the car and, after checking his ticket, I was delighted to confirm he had.
“It was absolutely fantastic that our club had the top winning ticket and James, and everyone else who was here on the night, was very excited.”
James, who received the keys to his new car at the club today, said, “The Ford Focus is a lovely car and to get one for nothing is really quite amazing.” |
